Opus Coffee is Hiring a Catering Assistant Near Gainesville, FL
Be a part of our Opus Coffee team as a Part-Time Catering Assistant. You'll be responsible for preparing and distributing brews and eats to our broad range of clientele, from unit meetings at UF Health, to Food Park happenings, and even private catered events such as weddings.

Work Schedule:
- Average of 15-20 hours/week during Summer, with increased hours (25-35) available & needed for department in Fall
- Shifts compromised of primarily weekday mornings between 5am-12pm, with occasional weekend days and 12pm-6pm shifts; ability to "split shift" (drop off in morning, pick up in afternoon with a break between) a big plus!
Position Expectations Include:
- Punctually preparing and delivering/retrieving catering orders to a specified location
- Setting up catering stations at delivery locations, taking special care to make sure everything is arranged in a clean, organized manner.
- Thoroughly cleaning & sanitizing catering equipment
- Completing & organizing weekly inventory
Position Requirements:
- Must have at least one year (12 months) of customer-facing food service industry or catering experience
- Must be able to lift 50lbs (you will be lifting large 3-gallon coffee dispensers, filled food trays, boxes of supply refills, and moving folding tables)
- Must have your own reliable vehicle, as deliveries are sometimes off-site
- Must have clean driving record and be able to drive company truck for larger catering events
- Must have flexible availability (great for non-students or online students)
The compensation for this position is a base pay of $13 per hour, plus our tip pool which averages from $3.50-$4.50 hourly.
